7 years of gasket compression

Changes out the case-back gasket in preparation for an upcoming dive. Thought I’d share what 7-8 years of compression looks like on the old gasket.  Top one is the old one.

Bottom one is the new one.

I see, another cruncher unsure where to put the "CT" stickers! 😀 Yes, I would expect the gasket to be somewhat compressed after 7-8 years. Do you know if it still passed a compression prior to changing it? Or did you just change it to be on the safe side?

It was fine- I’ve been diving with it. But as I just had my second stage serviced, I figured I should give the Skx some love as well and stay on the safe side 🤙🏼

and the CT stickers, oh they be on a little bit of everything around the house. Including my laptop cover of course 🤣
