Micro Tournament Round 1 Day 4: Nodus Vs. Christopher Ward

Rules: - Voting is based on the overall brand, not the individual model or sample photo. - There are no rules on how you should choose, but you are welcome to civilly debate quality, value, heritage, etc. - Voters are encouraged to look at the hashtags for threads on individual brands or visit their sites. - Poll closes apx 11PM ET 6/24. - Be respectful of all the brands and members, even if the vote does not go your way. This is meant to be lighthearted fun to raise awareness of 32 microbrands. - Ties will go to the brand with the most unique user-owned photos of their watch. - Good luck and have fun! All posts and results will be under #microtournament

I have never owned a Nodus but I do like the story behind the brand: two guys growing up together who decide it would be cool to make a watch and the rest is history.

I have owned a Christopher Ward, the C65 Super Compressor, I bought it on one of their discount sales.  Upon receiving it I discovered an issue with the off-centred text that wasn’t fully disclosed upon its release.  I found this to be a very sneaky move on their part and not transparent hence the discount.  When I asked them about it they still weren’t forthcoming and basically said I should be happy because I received the watch with a discount.

I was not impressed and sold the watch on eBay at a loss and I will never touch the brand again.

This is why I voted for Nodus!

I wear a Nodus Retrospect 3 as my daily driver. I really like this brand. My watch looks great and has been durable as heck, seeing how I wear it everyday. Especially when I consider that I only paid $450 for it. I have been meaning to do a full review, hopefully soon.

CW, makes a beautiful watch, but they are far more expensive and are really not a "micro" anymore.
