I don't think they're bad at all and I'm a Timex fan, but check out the Glycine Quartz options as a comparison before you buy.

Great collection! You could go a lot of different routes for your final spot. The Laco Pilot watches come to mind, but you could also go digital. I'm a fan of the Casio A168W-1.
