Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My father passed this passion down to me since I was probably 15 years old
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A Rolex Air King, gift of my parents for my confirmation. I started using the watch when I was 16, and now it is on my wife wrist, one of her favorite watches :)
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My IWC Mark XV is the exact watch Tom Cruise used in the movie Vanilla Sky.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy and wear what you like, what fits your wrist and suits your eye. Do not follow the trends.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I am very boring in terms of watch collecting. Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Patek Philippe and Rolex. However my everyday watch, and one of my absolute favorite is my IWC Mark XV
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex 6263, both dial variation. Unfortunately I was robbed multiple times of 3 of them. I never purchased it back, and I am not sure I will do it again, but it remains my absolute favorite watch of all time.
