My Dad’s G-Shock DW-5600

My most sentimental watch… My Dad's G-Shock I bought him for Father's Day in 1987... He wore it everyday for years, and years till I got him another one. He put this away in a drawer and it went dead... When I went through his stuff in 2022 after he passed I found it, and had my friends at the watch shop put a battery in it, and it came back to life... There's Poetry in all of this... It still has every speck of dirt on it that it earned through his hard work as a Handy-Man/Contractor... I hope you understand how significant something so small can be to those you love... I Love You Dad & Forever Will...

100% agree. I love looking at the scratches on my grandparents’ watches because they remind me of them. I’ll never ever have them polished.

I love seeing watches that look like they have really lived rather than spent their time in a glass cabinet. Thanks for sharing your story 👍

Remember it how it is most of our parents mostly had just one watch that they always wear the most.
