No you do not need a new case mine is the original skx013 case. However, you’ll have to change the stem that already comes with the movement and do some adjustments.

The day/date disc wheel in the replacement movement will be positioned for a watch with a crown at 3 o’clock, so it will not align with the skx case which has a crown at 4 o’clock. The easiest way to get around this is to remove the original day and date wheels from the original movement (7s26) and fit them to the new movement.
