hi

actually no..but when I was reading about the prx online I discovered it was oddly reminiscent of the system 51..I think that these 51's are truly disposable, the back of the watch is sealed so I honestly dont think it could be serviced by anyone including swatch group..dont quote me on that..I wouldn't mind paying $185 for a disposable automatic swatch ......but $675 (prx) for a disposable powermatic 80...I would be some kind of pissed..I know that around 6-700$ is not a great deal of money but not to be A throw away.. MOVEMENT. the prx can be opened up for servicing....now here's how it gets a bit tricky..I THINK if the powermatic80 needed servicing, repair, regulation ...now on a side note we are kind of being told its laser regulated at the factory and cannot be done by us watch guys ......it most certainly can be regulated by a watchmaker ...but it may be quite expensive and the turnaround time excruciating. I don't think I would want to be poking around with the powermatic 80..just my watchmaker..

the best choice for me would be send it to tissot and more than likely they will swap out then movement for a new one...now like I said getting right down to semantics, the prx powermatic 80 is serviceable outside the SWATCHGROUP..but at a price..I know im all over the place trying to give you my take on the situation.i hope you can grasp what I've been trying to say.

oh the PALLET FORK AND THE ESCAPE WHEEL I BELIVE, ARE PLASTIC. and .tissot isn't the only high end watch manufacturer who has used or is using plastic parts,,not just tissot.

If you have doubts or are curious about this prx ...SCGST@SWATCHGROUP.COM. THEY CAN ANSWER your questions / inquiries / concerns about Tissot PRX Powermatic 80

also go to the tissot address online and they have LIVE CHAT

I absolutely love mine..got the blue waffle dial, as well..I don't want to upset anyone or start a big argument but the rumors going around that it cannot be serviced or regulated unless you send it to tissot..I have 2 watchmakers who have regulated a Patek Phillipe and my FAVORITE A. Lange & Sohne ...SWATCHGROUP wants everything done there which is understandable but not completely honest..in addition to my 2 watchmakers here in Westport, Connecticut I have 2 more watch repair experts watchmakers in sandy hook, Ct.;who also said they are familiar with the movement and it most certainly can be both serviced and regulated.. And finally there seems to be a BUZZ going around and reviewers are stating the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 is a disposable watch..do not believe this for one, single second ..They are full of shit..Why would a company as well respected and such awesome history as tissot be stupid enough to make a disposable watch even one that is only $675 ?
