Alright, here it is. The first look at the Swatch X Blancpain 50 Fathoms (pictures nicked from Hodinkee).
My first impressions:
It looks pretty good. A tad bigger than my personal preferences but I think they’re doing this right.
Thankfully, they went with the Sistem51 movement. I’ve voiced my complaints about what I see as Swatch’s (long-term) anti-consumer manufacturing choices, but it is what it is. I appreciate that Swatch has done something unique and original in their creation of this movement, and I’m glad to see it implemented here.
Honestly, I’m just waiting to be let down by the price- but other than that, I’m impressed!

Can’t blame ya! But if the price is right…?
I like the look of them... But not $400 enough!
Love it, cheap enough to not worry about - but stores only kills it stone dead for me. 😢
