Any experience with Unimatic?

Wearing the U1-FAI. Love the aesthetic, hate the QC. The crown was/is bent so everytime I wind it or set the time, it wobbles. Wrote to Unimatic and they have no idea how this could have happened, have asked for it back. It goes back in April but until then, I'm going to enjoy it with some light use.

Scratches the milsub, greensub aesthetic quite nicely. It came on a green nato which I adore as well. I always wanted a U4 but the color here won me over, seems more proportional on wrist. U4 felt like a hunk of metal hanging on.

I just sold one. The only watch I've ever thought of selling. It was a Modello DueU2S-M. No QC issues. It simply underwhelmed on the wrist, especially in terms of comfort. The highly domed crystal and straight lugs just didn't work.

Why are they waiting 4 months to take it back?

I'm travelling to Milan in April. Didn't trust them to review and blame me instead

The true worth is 300$. I'm ok paying 500$ for the unique aesthetic. The special editions are totally worth a miss. I'm enjoying this one as a gift from my wife on our last holiday. This was 1000$

Interesting. I found the U2 is super underwhelming in person as well.

Totally understandable!

In addition to being the only one I sold, I didn't try it on before buying. I'm the guy who tries watches on a ton before I buy so that was all on me. Never again!

Here's mine on the bracelet. I was suckered by this one due to the colours. Never a £1,200 watch in a million years.

Haha a fellow brother. It's sometimes crazy how similarly all watch folk brains work

I have the U4 regular / non-limited edition and love it as a travel / holiday watch. I normally have it on a regular NATO or rubber NATO and find it very wearable / comfortable and despite lots of bangs and scrapes, it's pretty accurate for the movement - around -2 to -5 spd. Also works well with the Forstner ladder bracelet I just got for mine. Looks like I got a good one on QC, but I haven't heard of any problems anecdotally.

Hopefully they will get the issues resolved for you - really like the look of your U1-FAI.

They are clearly not to everyone's taste but I think it being a bit unusual is part of the attraction for me and I think the price (at least on the regular editions) is very fair.

Minus the crown issue i think i would be very happy. I still love the aesthetic like i said. I just wish the wobble is easily fixed.

This has a sellita sw200 base so I don't find it losing time at all.

I have a GMT and I love it. A bit chonky but I have had no issues. Put it on a Barton strap and it’s perfect.

This looks sick. IMO one of their best

I was lucky enough to be able to acquire the yellow (U1-MoMA-Y) and blue (U1-MoMA-B) MoMA limited edition watches. They sit next to my Squale Master x Comsubin. I love them.
