Jack Mason #2
Anyone who’s vaguely familiar with my account knows that Jack Mason is my favorite watch maker. I own a Pursuit (the least expensive watch they have) and I love it. I went on Poshmark to shop for Christmas gifts and came across this. The guy was asking $125 for a near mint automatic Jack Mason nautical. I studied each picture closely and triple checked the retail price (from when you could still buy one retail). He was selling a $500 watch in perfect condition for $125?! Not only that but my favorite watch brand! I was in such a hurry to buy it, I didn’t scroll down to see he was talked down to $100 by someone who changed their mind. Oh well, I got a great watch at an amazing price. I‘m not about to complain.

When I was much younger and much, much poorer, I would frequent McDonalds, because it was cheap. One time, my buddy and I were given two big bags of food. Clearly, the order was not meant for us, but that did not stop us from driving away the moment we were handed the second bag. We ate like kings. I think of that moment every time I get a steal on eBay. Congrats sir, that is a great deal.

I did look at the other items he was selling. A lot of clothes and a pair of shoes. I managed a pawn shop for 5 years and I could tell what this was. If someone is going to rob a home, they don’t take clothes. This was a guy who’s roommate split and now he’s selling off their stuff. I’ve also been the roommate who split, back when I was young and stupid.
