When I was young, I owned a single watch at a time, most of my life, starting with a Casio model that is still made. It wasn't until later in life that I realized I could have more than one. What a great past time; learning about horology, history, finding new details and connections. I really am most attracted to tool watches as I do wear them through whatever I do.
One day I just realized I could have more than one at a time.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a Casio, I forget the model but they still make the same one.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I did happen to pick up a pretty unique one recently; there were only a few made and the owner of the Company didn't relay this one was from his personal collection until after I had received it. It was a model he designed but was not popular and only 4 were made. Not bragging, just lucky.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time, no pun intended. There's no rush.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Maranez, Armida, Lorier, Traska, Atticus.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Not really a grail sort. I don't have a taste for high end watches. I like solid built, 3 handers that I can wear everyday.
