Do you have the one watch that...

You thought you were never going to like but somehow ended up being one of your favorites?

For me it's the Rolex Explorer II 16570 polar dial.

Such a beauty.

Haha of course not. I had only seen the current Explorer II 225670 and thought it was ugly and I would never like it.

One day I had a chance to see 16570 in person and then I was like, man this is one heck of a beauty. It was just like a magic.

Then it didn't take long till I decided I needed one myself and after that was a long waiting studying the variants, saving money and not buying other watches so that I can finally get one. 😂

So I guess what I wrote is a bit misleading. What I meant to say is that I never thought I would like Explorer II and 16570 changed my mind. 🙂

Nice watch! I wasnt a fan of the seiko alpanist when i got into watches but its become my favorite.

This is the only Rolex I've ever lusted for. I'd kill for one of these! By the way, what's your address?🙄

Funny enough, I went the other way with the Explorer II. I didn't realize it'd become my favorite among avorites. I also didn't like the 5 digit versions 😂

The Alpinist is definitely a great watch. Hasn't had a chance to take a look in real life but would certainly be interested!

Maybe instead I can kindly forward to your nearest dealer where hopefully you'll engage in a peaceful transaction involving credit cards?

Tudor Ranger

Tudor Ranger is awesome. The only thing that stopped me from running to Tudor retail is the 39mm diameter. Maybe I'll change my mind once I get there, so another reason not to go. How's yours by the way?

To be honest, even though I mentioned something about the six-digit Explorer II's, that's all gibberish. The current generation Explorer II (and the one preceding it) is just a beast and a beauty combined in one, if you know what I mean.

It is better than I thought it would be. The 39mm is what attracted me to it. The previous is the 40mm and it is just a shade too large for me and it has the ETA movement. The newer 39mm has the Kenissi and it is just amazing. The watch wears fantastic on my wrist. The lume is not as great as the applied indices of the explorer, but it is better than you would think.

Man. Now I want to check out Tudor retail and try it on.

Maybe, to avoid any violence, you'd loan me your credit card?🙄
