Day 9 - A Watch a Day: Going deep into the watch box again to the Hamilton Khaki King. Field watches were the first genre of watch to catch my attention (a Filson/Shinola field watch kicked me down the rabbit hole), so I quickly came upon Hamilton, though it took me a while to get over the $300+ price tag (now the price of a "cheap" watch, sigh). I like a bit of flair, so I went for the Khaki King, with champagne dial and the rather unusual day and date.

I love day date and I love the execution of the champagne dial on this watch. I think I like it more than its black dial sibling, but maybe not as much as fully engraved versions of the black one

I could kick myself (sort of)! I used to have that model, but traded it away for - I must admit - a far finer watch. But I miss it!

AH, IC. I have seen those. I thought you meant that Hamilton did some kind of engraving, it wasn't clear you meant aftermarket (of the case).
