A wonderful bottling from independent bottler, Thompson Brothers.
This is a 10 year old whisky matured in a refilled barrel (probably ex-bourbon) from the Loch Lomond distillery. Natural colour and non-chill filtered, bottled at 53.7% ABV.
Nose: Vanilla, icing sugar, fruity (lychees, unripe papaya), hint of chrysanthemum
Palate: Mild sweet chrysanthemum tea, wood, leather, castor sugar.
Finish: Medium long. The mild sweetness blends into a slight pleasant bitter at the end with a slightly dry warming finish.
This one sips wonderfully and has complexity on the nose that makes you want to keep going back to it.
Whisky rating: 7.5/10
The watch? It’s an easy 8/10. 😆

Best of luck in your possible quest for a dual watch/whiskey ratings trend😀.
Kids got me Green Spot Irish Whiskey for Christmas gift. If I had a discerning nose, I’d post a review, but all those descriptions of taste notes elude me. It’s just very good, imo.
Enjoy!
Green spot is nice!
Enjoy it!
Yellow Spot is next on the list 💸
