#NWA Dagger-Axe something-or-other. This is a decently-priced OG Fifty Fathoms homage. I ordered it from AliX. The model is not on AliX any more, the seller had removed all listings of anything until today (vacation maybe), and a web search for Dagger-Axe watches only returns dozens of “actual” Chinese gē, or dagger-axes. (I assume those are all fake.) Anyhow i assumed I was getting a box of rocks but in fact it’s pretty nice.
40mm x 13.6, 20mm lugs, bead-blasted, 120-click unidirectional bezel, and a box crystal. Came with two ribbed NATO straps but I had this strap sitting around and like it. The indices are pink, which is an interesting fauxtina choice but it works. I was all set to be okay with waving goodbye to my money but no need!
That said the NH35 with ghost date wheel is dramatically unregulated l, running about a minute slow per day. Cheap watch and Ilike it, seems worth getting it regulated and is cheaper than comparable “name brand” watches. Speaking of “name brands”, if this isn’t the most Metal name for a watch brand ever, I want to know what’s better! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
