Today I am wearing my Impossible Watch Company Art Deco. Impossible Watch Co. is a husband and wife super-micro brand based in Alaska and this is a nice piece. Handwound Seagull movement (art deco watches should be handwound, I will die on this hill), fixed caseback (I think you just pull the whole thing out the front after removing the crystal), and it has the right look in my esteem. My one and only complaint is that the edges on the case are rather “soft” and rounded without the “precision” edges I expect from art deco. I’ve only worn this for a couple hours this year for a meeting but this is definitely a keeper in my book, the only piece I found even close to as nice was a now-discontinued Montres LIP Churchill that was a limited edition sold only through Louis Pion boutiques in France. This great on any color of alligator, too, but this lamb strap with gold glitter in it is too fun.

Thank you!

My pleasure. That’s an arresting watch, Nate. I have two deco inspired watches, an Oris and a Lacroix:

The Oris has a stepped case/bezel/lug thing going on. The Lacroix has a sort of Chrysler Building look with stepped lugs and a strange kind of multi-level stamped and satinated dial.

Obviously I like Art Deco design. 😃
