I’ve always admired the Citizen Bullhead and wanted to add one to my collection, but the thought of buying a vintage watch with questionable parts and pricey servicing cost…I always put the idea in the back of my mind.
When these reissues came to the market a few years back, I was initially excited about having a modernized version of this iconic watch but was quickly disappointed upon learning about the watch specs. A cheap, basic quartz movement, mineral glass, and flimsy bracelet…I felt that Citizen could have done a lot better.
Fast forward to now, I found this one sale for $160 and decided to take a chance (these were selling for $300 when they first came out). I can say that it’s certainly a nice watch for what I paid. It’s easily the most eye-catching watch in my collection of affordable watches. I’ll plan to do a full review in some weeks once I get a few more straps and wrist time.
