When it comes to Cartier, the spotlight shines on the latest addition: the brand-new Santos de Cartier Dual Time, a captivating all-steel timepiece with a sophisticated gray dial that displays two time zones simultaneously, the first of the Santos family to receive dual time. Expanding the Santos family, Cartier introduces the Santos-Dumont Rewind, a manually wound watch with a unique backwards-running dial, challenging conventional timekeeping. Adding a vibrant twist, a striking red variant injects a playful energy, elevating the fun factor to new heights.

"a unique backwards-running dial" don´t know about this... it seems fairly easy as a complication, very dificult to read. Clockwise is a term we use for many things, so it does not make sense to flip this as a novelty. I prefer the crazy hours concept., or wondering hour, or jump hour. this is not doing it for me.
I tried to make a clock in woodshop back in high school with the numbers running backwards on the dial, but the movement running normally. The shop teacher could/ would not wrap his head around my concept and refused to let me make it, which really upset me. I instead made a very boring school colors clock with no numbers.
I wish I were in the “class bracket” for a Cartier, as I would snatch that right up as a tribute to my idea that was killed in the cradle.
No, the Rewind’s gimmick is not unique - every Goofy watch I’ve seen runs backwards - but it is cool. For the handful of people who’ll own one, it‘Ll be a fun conversation starter. And it is achingly beautiful.
That Dual Time is really intriguing. Love the look, love the complication. The Dumont is a great study in how to do aggressive and bold while still remaining a dress watch.
