Here we go folks, strap yourself in and come with me through the unboxing of my new watch box.

Ordered through Etsy, this little walnut beauty came all the way from Ukraine! It turned up in a big box wrapped in black plastic and with a big "Please be careful" sticker.

I got it home from the post office and started to unpack.

The top was protected by this piece of hard board.

Under that was a ton of polystyrene cubes that reminded me of Feta cheese.

I decanted these into a carrier bag (that used to contain a Cayman Islands Rum Cake).

Next up, the actual watch box, wrapped in its foam protection was pulled from the shipping box.

The glass front was protected with another piece of hard board, then wrapped in cling film.

All unwrapped, here's the box! The glass needs a little polish.

First watch in was the one I was wearing, so the Longines Zulu Time. This pic shows the drawer open too, a huge space I plan to fill with straps and tools.

And then here it is, in position in the bedroom. 8 of my watches and my wife's Tissot sneaking in to the bottom right corner.

Oh, and here's the 'secret' cupboard in the back. This is behind the slanted piece that holds the watches.

The cushions are pretty good, very soft and available in a range of colours, I went conservative with black. The finish on the wood is delightful, very smooth and with a nice sheen. The glass front, drawer and rear cupboard all open effortlessly and without rubbing, and as such I'd rate the quality very highly.
