Citizen Promaster Marine BN0157-11X - Video Review

I hope you are all well?

Today, we are going to take a look at the Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Marine Dive Watch reference - BN0157-11X.

This ProMaster watch from Citizen is an ISO-compliant diver rated to 200m water resistance. It has a mineral crystal with an anti-reflective coating & has deep-filled lumibrite hour markers & hands. With the watch being part of the Eco-Drive range, it is powered by light & contains the trusty cal150 movement. This movement has an accuracy of around 12 seconds per month & a power reserve of 6 months.

The case is stainless steel & finished in an IP (gun-metal) finish which adds to the overall "military" look. The bezel is aluminium & uni-directional with very little backplay & is aligned well.

Finishing off the package, the watch comes with a soft & supple silicone strap with a matching gun-metal finish buckle.

Overall, this is a great budget watch & certainly one to be considered if you like the "military" look & aren't too keen on G-Shocks.

Diggin the green

Several ePrey vendors are advertising this watch as "radio controlled/Atomic" despite its E168 movement. 😮

I just ordered one.

The military-vibe green silicon strap I can see using in the summertime as a fun, casual watch.

But to wear as an everyday watch, I also ordered the jubilee-style bracelet from LIW which has solid end links and tapers to 18mm which will take it up another notch.

I also have the BN0168-06L (Pepsi bezel). These are just great, inexpensive watches that punch much higher with great design and nicely finished case design. (I also put the oyster bracelet from LIW on this watch as well).

The lume on these watches is so crazy bright, now with two of these watches in my watchbox, I’m never gonna get any sleep. 😀
