Orient ray 2 review

The orient Ray 2 is my second mechanical after the seiko 5 srpe67 that I returned. I’ll be talking about the specs, water resistance and the conclusion

Specs. honestly I thought the watch would wear bigger than the specs say, but it wore just right on my wrist. The dimensions of the watch include a 41.5mm diameter and a 47mm lug to lug distance with the thickness being 13mm, just about the same height as the srpe67 on the stock nato strap. The movement in the watch is the caliber f6922 that has hacking and a day are complication with 40 hours of power reserve. The lume on the hands and markers are strong and last long but I do wish there was a bit more on the seconds hand but beyond that I have no complaints on the lume on the dial. And speaking of the dial there is no misalignment with the bezel or the chapter ring with the lume markers at all (seiko, cough cough). The dial is a matte black with some test and a metallic orient logo at 12:00 and orient underneath along with a cursive automatic in a smaller font. The date window is bordered with metal as is the same with the lume markers and is separated with day on the left and date on the right and separated by metallic borders.

Water resistance. the water resistance is at the minimum for a diver at 200m and it can hold up to the water resistance put out by orient ( went on a few dives with this on my wrist, hold up pretty well)

Conclusion. The ray 2 is good for the money with it being a budget starter dive watch that will wear smaller than the dimensions might say and with a 120 click bezel that is pretty good I would recommend this watch
