Question about Glycine Airman

Does anyone know/have experience with the Glycine Airman? I’m looking for an affordable pilot watch with some history and this seems to be checking all the boxes? Does it worth the pricetag around 900 EUR (Although I find very varying prices) Thanks a lot! ;)

Yep, I've had a few and have always liked them.

Quality is good for the money, history is good. I've never been disappointed or had an issue.

I reckon "The Chief" (40mm - middle) or the "No. 1" (36mm- bottom) are the pick of what's currently available; they're styled like vintage examples, domed crystal and the colours work, at least imo.

They have a fairly long lug to lug - depending on your wrist you may want to opt for the classic 36mm? Good prices available on C24 at the moment too.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Not sure if you have read this. There are several models and this will either narrow or explode your focus.

I actually copped out and went for this (v similar to the Double Twelve) mainly because I find a 24 hour dial less than intuitive to read at a quick glance. If you’ve never worn a 24 hour dial then I would definitely think about it before spending a lot of money on one. Either borrow one or buy something cheap like a Vostok.

Now I am not a complete idiot and I could certainly read it but - at a glance - it was a pain. I certainly underestimated how ingrained reading a twelve hour dial is.

Very much love my compromise though - I think Glycine generally represent good value especially if you are patient and shop around.

I really like most of the Glycines I've seen. If I were paying up in the 900 EUR range I'd hope to find one with the older Airmen with their early logo like in the first 3 images in this thread.

I love mine. I also own the Combat Sub and Combat Field. It's a great brand and they have a lot of options to pick from.
