The Platona

Recalling the purchase of this watch in 2018, I vividly remember being mocked by everyone who deemed me silly for spending nearly 100k AUD on a Rolex. They suggested that with such funds, I could have acquired more than just a Rolex, perhaps a Patek complications, etc. Additionally, one friend ridiculed the light blue dial, likening it to an unattractive duck egg. However, I never second-guessed my choice of this Daytona. Now in hindsight, This purchase proves to be a wise decision.

The platinum material adds significant weight, surpassing that of a gold watch. Interestingly, after acclimating to wearing this timepiece, my other steel Daytona now feels remarkably light, almost like a toy. Lol.

What a thing of beauty 😵‍💫

It’s gorgeous. Does it appear as blue in real life as in pictures. My Breitling appears gray silver in most lights. Under specific lights it appears ice blue.

I can say the photo seen on the picture above closely reflect the colour in real life

Great color scheme on one of the most iconic watches, love the blank subdials and crowded text in the dial
