Uncle Seiko purchase!
Just placed an order with Uncle for the z199 bracelet and rubber waffle strap for my SPB143.
I was never 100% satisfied with the stock bracelet on this watch. My issues were as follows:
1) Only moderately comfortable and sometimes actually uncomfortable when performing certain tasks.
2) Lower quality than the watch. Even less quality than the $400-500 less expensive Hamilton Khaki Auto I also own.
3) I appreciate more taper and the z199 tapers 4mm's. Nice.
4) Finally, the clasp, with the inclusion of the unnecessary (for me) dive extension, was too bulky.
I wanted something nicer, more elegant and befitting of a reinterpretation of an iconic vintage dive watch.
The solution was pretty simple and I'm excited for the z199 bracelet to arrive shortly. I'll make a follow-up post after it's sized up.

I bought some NATO straps in sizes no one else had in stock, to start. One shipped was the wrong size and Uncle Seiko had a new one on the way within minutes of my e-mail to let him know. Very responsive service. I recently bought a bracelet for my SNXS79 and it is everything I wanted it to be. There are more and less expansive options but Uncle Seiko/Straps offerings have always been excellent quality for the price. Highly recommend. 👍🏻
