There are many variants of the "Speedy" but after doing a bit of research, I discovered this model. I like that the sub-dials are in a different configuration than the usual 3-6-9 locations (I already own a few watches with the 3-6-9 configuration). I can get a used one in good condition for around $2k. I would appreciate knowing what others think as this is a pretty big purchase.

Fratello likes it. The 18mm lug width is a minor negative.

Thanks. I had done a search for reviews and did find that article. Agreed that 18mm lug width is a negative.
Thanks. This is a reduced size so 39.5mm from what I have read (see the Fratello article linked above). I have a 7.25" wrist so 42mm is about big as I can get away with. I'll check out the Breitling Chronomat. I consider Rolex and Omega to be the most recognizable watch brands, Omega has the presitge of being selected by NASA, and my dad owned an Omega for 30+ years.
Thanks. I think the biggest watch I have now is round 42mm. Unlike many, I tend to prefer lighter watches, which is why I like the JDM Titanium watches. But yes, the Breitling Chronomat is a good size for my wrist. Looks pretty nice and the price on the used market is good as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
