Does anyone have any negative experiences getting their case back hand engraved? I’d like to have mine done, but am unfamiliar with the process. Worried any banging/jostling/vibrating will be hard on the movement inside.
Is this just being overly cautious or is hand engraving riskier than laser engraving?

I was considering it for my Lorier, but with the case back off of the watch so I don't turn the movement into cheese. After watching George Bamford on the the About Effing Time podcast, modding watches just seems so appealing to me now.
I can't imagine that it's particularly taxing on the movement. From what I've seen, you've got a small metal graver that is essentially just cutting into the case back, without any machinery or vibrations, etc. I would guess I put more strain on the movement with my cocktail drinking than engraving would!
