Phillippe Starck analog watch

Watch for today. Finally put a battery in here after 8 years. Another favourite or mine. This piece has always sparked conversation every where I’ve gone. And for good reason. it fits right, it’s interesting, its just super cool.

I would certainly talk to you if you were wearing that.  I'd probably start off by asking how the heck you tell the time on it?  And it's got a hole in the middle?  Where is the movement located?

Basically, explain this whole thing.  Thanks.

Just tell everyone it stopped a bullet...

Upon first glance it looked like you had a halved avocado on your wrist with the hole featuring your wrist acting as the pit!

haha exactly! everything is packed inside the case. it was made by an architect so its quite interesting to see how he pushed the boundaries here.

I’m particular with what I appreciate in a watch, and I’m not sure this is it. But I’m definitely appreciative of this as a piece of design. I find the fact I’m baffled as to how it works to be very interesting. Soooo…how DO you tell time on it?
