I like both of these a lot. But my immediate reaction is a slight preference for the new design.

I'm one of these weird people who actually use the date function!
I paid a premium to pick up an older no-date model. I think I would prefer the 39mm over the 42mm but my choice has been locked in.
No date, so a million times better 🤩👍🏻
