Parking was absolutely terrible and some guy stood in front of the spot I had a right to but said “well we’ve been waiting 40 minutes” and I let it go because I didn’t want to get into it with my daughter in the car and be a bad example or put her in harms way, but we found parking for free eventually by the Marina. If this was you I’m glad you got the spot…
Formex was absolutely GORGEOUS in person and I may have it back over Monta for my next watch
I was highly impressed by studio underdog and my wife who hates my hobby also took an interest to them (and Anordain but I had to explain to her that it’s a long wait) so she bought me a Mint Chocolate Chip one with the windup exclusive pre-order invite last night!!
Was very cool to talk to the designers of Christopher Ward and OrientStar who had a sick see through skeleton dial! 36mm on Lorier was not as nice to me as 36mm from CW so all about proportions hehe. Lorier watches were gorgeous in person and Lorenzo is a cool guy

Argh, now I'm regretting not getting to visit most of those brands you mention. Very cool that your family came with and found things to spark their interest! Good call on the parking, I am of a very similar mind with regards to dealing with strangers in public.

There's a new CW watch I saw the other day GMT if I remember with a nice tapered case and great looking oyster style bracelet. Man ... I'm glad I wasn't a drive away to that SF Windup. I think I might have left with some watches and a lot of buyers remorse LOL 😂

Based on a couple Reddit feedback posts I saw about the event yes. Apparently they got robbed at the hotel in the first day but powered through anyways.
