Watch repair practice is this a good idea?
Rather than damaging a loved watch - I am looking for a cheap job lot of watches on eBay just so I can practice removing backs , strap links , battery replacement & minor repairs/refurbishment, before doing it for "real" (I am new to collecting 😃)

It's a cracking idea,I'd also ask around your place at work and friends,we've all got some old watches laying about and you'll probably get some for free,good luck.
Well, still try to get things that you'll want should they survive, but hell yes. Practice with low risk.
