My new Vostok Amphibia 420059 Scuba Dude. I got this off Amazon for less than the US' (and possibly the whole West's) only Vostok AD, buyvostok.com. Although I do technically have an Amphibia in the form of my Komandirskie diver, I missed the trademark wackiness of the classic Amphibias, and my original 090-case Scuba Dude that I sold to one of my brother's friends. Interestingly this one was made in June of this year, so I'm not sure how Amazon (or the seller, rather) managed to get this out of Russia after they invaded Ukraine. I've actually become more at peace with being a diehard Vostok fan, because I felt VERY morally confused after the country that one of my favorite watch brands was based in started the biggest conflict of the 21st century so far, after the War on Terror. I've realized I love Vostoks for their simplicity, affordability, toughness and clever design, not because they're the product of an authoritarian regime.
