For some reason I decided that I wanted a Cartier, which put me into a void of Cartier watches. Modern tanks are a bit too simplistic for me (and I like Reverso more anyway). Vintage tanks (with colorful dials and gold-plated cases) are funky. But maybe a little too funky.
So I came to Santos. With eye-watering prices on new santos(es?) I started looking at vintage and, surprisingly, two-tone Santos Carree pulled me into its gravity field.
I was always opposed to gold watches, never really liked two-tone, and, well, even vintage Cartier are expensive...
Yet, now I own a two-tone steel\gold vintage Cartier Santos and like it so far. I could only hope it was my own hidden desire and not an influence from countless youtube videos praising this watch 😂
