What kind of AR coating are modern Tudor watches using?

Like many watch companies Tudor is pretty light on the official specs that it lists on its website for each model. It's not clear to me at all what AR coating (inner/outer/both/none) are their using. I assume they do pretty much the same with all their watches, though (based on their watches I've tried so far). I did a bit of Googling, but I couldn't find any conclusive info on the subject. Does anyone know?

Looking at my Ranger it seems it doesn't have outer AR coating, but I'm inclined to believe it has inner AR coating.

Couldn't find info back then either, decided to still go ahead on a BB58 and it REALLY looks like it has some on the inside, if I compare it to other similar watches of mine, and one that doesn't have any.

If my guess is right, the AR coating is only done inner side of the crystal for the BB58 lineup. If you have a coating on the outside of the crystal, you will soon come to know if you pick up scratches easily on the sapphire.

Only the Black Bay 36/41 models lack AR, which at that price point is a really stupid thing to do by Tudor.

Yeah, that's why I asked in the first place. I'm not fond of outer AR coating as it scratches rather easily, but without official specs I could only guess whether it's present or not.

I think it's crazy that something for 3000 EUR would not have inner AR coating... In general the pricing of BB 36/41 seems quite inflated to me (at least compared to the Ranger).

Same, not a fan of AR coating on the outside. If there is a lack of AR, it will be obvious especially with a black dial watch.

The BB 36/41 is slightly better in terms of different surface finishing and more details on the dial like applied indices unlike the Ranger. The price was reasonable before the hike for the BB 36/41 around $2600-2800, but now at $3400 it is not a good value unless they release the update versions soon with the MT5 movement.

I might be more interested in the BB 36 if it came with MT5, although given my recent issues with MT5 I'm not sure whether it's really as good as advertised. 😄 But on paper it's obviously better value than SW-200.

I think the bracelet on the BB 36 didn't have the Ranger's on-the-fly micro-adjust. It'd be nice if Tudor made those bracelets standard for all their BB watches.

Btw, I also asked the AR question in Tudor's fan group on Facebook and people there agree that usually there's inner coating only.

The BB36/41 will receive an update soon, that's what my AD said when I checked out the Pelagos 39. It will come with movement upgrade definitely and bracelet upgrades hopefully. Then, Tudor should also keep the pricing reasonable. One of the reasons I sold my BB58 was the bracelet, I didn't like the faux rivets and never got a proper fit. Half links are compulsory if the clasp lacks micro adjustment holes. The Ranger bracelet is an almost perfect style for the Black Bay lineup.

I personally don't want to pay above $1500 for a watch with SW-200 movement anymore these days knowing there are other options out there. It is a very good movement but the lack of power reserve is a bummer for a watch on the higher end.

Fellow #tudor ranger 79950 lover. I am confident this is inner AR coated. Which is ideal in my opinion.
