Three more on the way… and a little story
Three more watches on the way (plus a bracelet for my wife’s Apple Watch 😒😅)
I didn’t buy all three watches at once though.
Being a watch collector in Brazil is not easy.
The lack of variety and the absurdly high prices basically forces us to buy watches overseas.
I’ve been buying and shipping them to a friend in the US, then I wait for a chance to go there or some friend or family that can bring them to me.
You may ask why I’m not shipping them straight to Brazil and the answer is: extremely high taxes (over 60%) 💸, risk of loss 🚨etc.
So sometimes I have to wait for months to add new pieces to my collection.
Although some models from brands like Casio, Orient and Citizen are still worth buying here but all the other options are simply not worth it unfortunately.

Hopefully you're not into guns too. I hear they are just as hard to get even though President Bolsonaro made it easier to buy them.
Sounds familiar. I don’t have anything shipped to Iceland from abroad either. The import duties and handling fees are just absurd. Buying locally is really only attractive in limited cases (if they even have what you want), but second-hand market is more attractive here.

You heard it right my friend. Guns are harder and harder to get. Taxes are higher and higher. Government is getting bigger and bigger. Worrying times.
