window shopping today

went window shopping today looking for my next piece. i saw this chocolate dial tudor at the store that caught my eye. second stop was the longine flagship store where i sought out this moon phase full calendar and chronograph complication, on a brown leather strap i think that watch just speaks to me more more than the tudor. but the tudor still sits in the back of my mind as a very interesting piece.

My wife would tell me to start gazing into cheaper windows! lol. That Longines has a lot going on with that dial but it’s forgivable because it’s just so well done. I’m really starting to fall in love with Longines. Been lusting after a hydroconquest for a while now.

Longines Master Collection is a must in my opinion. I bought the 40mm and absolutely love it!

If you would go for one of those I would recommend the Longines.

Btw... it's not a perpetual calendar.

It uses the Valjoux 7751. It's a so called "full calendar watch"

Day, date, month, moonphase. Plus Chronograph.

But don't get me wrong. It's a badass movement and my favorite. And a great alternative to a perpetual calendar, which is expensive in buying but also in service.

The 7751 is nore economical abd often to be find way under 3K.

thanks for the information and correction, i fixed the post. the lady at the store didn’t correct me so i had no idea haha. she was trying to explain the complication but couldn’t come up with the phrase so i threw that out there and she just said “yes” haha. always learning something new!

Love the Longines. I bought the retrograde instead after much deliberation.

Never mind. That's why we are here. At point of sales most sales staff have often no clue about the watch details.

But as I said: The movement itself is great and a good alternative to perpetual calendars.

If you are interested, I once wrote a comparing of different watch brands containing the 7751.
