I just ordered the yellow dial, and I think this watch will look great in those other colors, particularly orange.
[hate to say this to a Kansas guy, but aside from the usual time in the ocean & paddling where I normally wear dive watches, that yellow will pair nicely with a navy marine nationale or rubber strap when I visit the one child still in college at U of Michigan.]

been wearing this for a couple of years. The size works for me, large wrists (8 1/4 inches around). I like it best on a dive strap like an isofrane-style or marine nationale strap, both keep larger watch cases stable on the wrist.
big improvement over the quartz Seastar 1000 chrono it replaced. For me, this is a keeper.

I wear this watch. only issue I had was that after 2+ years, the stem/tube threads stripped, so I had it serviced. I'm normally good with screw-in crowns but must have cross-threaded this one at some point. Repair was excellent, i'm wearing the watch today.
I haven't tried to pry off the bezel. Had I encountered the issue you did, I would have gone to the local watch repair place and had him look at it, clean it and perhaps change the spring insert underneath.
If anything with a watch requires significant force, that's probably a good time to stop and re-assess.
