Tuscel Concept Watch

I wanted to design a concept watch with the name Tuscel Automatic. I had a design in my mind from a year and it kept on changing until I finished this one. I would like to know your thoughts and suggestions.

Software used: Rhinoceros 7.0

I like your design, very clean & minimalist. I would be tempted to put a bit more colour into it via the hands or the indices to make the dial stand out more.

That's just me though, I know nothing about design. I just know what I like & what I don't. I do like this though 👍

You are right. I think the interior should pop out more. Thanks for kind suggestion.

Like the design - one suggestion, I assume the small hand shows charge. Maybe make or graduating from black to red, hard to see from this which side is charged / not charged.

·

The logo before the name tuscel would look nice in red. Also the white second hand might get lost while traveling across the white dial. Either the tip should have some color or change the color of the second hand. Overall a beautiful understated piece that feels like a bauhaus classic.

For me give everything, like numbers date 50% more volume/size. The power indicator Hand I would prefer in the same style as the hour and minute hand. Also I understand this is just a design but what are the 2 pushers for?

With all that being said I like the split rounded day/date windows. The whole watch reminds me of the watches from Braun.

Just, wow! Agree with the comments above but those are small things. Overall really impressive.

@sfreak already voiced my main thoughts almost exactly. I'm curious what the finish is. Gunmetal PVD?

I'm also having trouble making out the edge of the dial. It appears to be curved upward with a concave radius, or is that from the crystal?

the edge is rather a tricky thing to look at, its like a curved bowl with straight opening.

Well, the case contour was a bit perplexing as well, but I was asking about the dial. I don't see an edge to the circumference. I don't see a rehaut. My interpretation is that, since there must be space between the dial and the crystal, that the edge of the dial is curving, dishing, upward. Given that this seems to be a flat crystal, that's what I suspect the white arced highlight visible at the left side of the dial is.

But now I'm curious how the band is attached as well. Typically with these "lugless" watches, the lugs are just covered, underneath. But here it looks like they are somehow integrated into the side of the case.

well, I learned a lot of terms from your single reply, some are new to me. The dial has a blend edge like dishing, hiding below the case upper head. And, about the band attachment, it was very tough to understand and I put a week to think and redesign again and again how to fix it in the absence of lugs. So I made a cut in the case just right at an angle suitable to accept the flat dimension of band.
