1989 Tissot - strap help needed!

Very grateful for advice. Just won the attached watch - a circa 1989 Tissot - on ebay for £25 GBP. Hate the look of the strap which is one of those spring extending ones. But there are no lugs that i can see and guessing aome kind of bespoke Tissot connector. What is best shot at getting this on another strap? Any advice much appreciated! Thanks. Joe

That would look like a ballerina dancing in construction boots on a nato. You need to find a way to get it on leather at least in my opinion.

It's worth a try if it can't take a more traditional strap due to the type of lugs.

To be honest i fear i’ll be limited to specific straps from tissot or third parties for tissot of that time. Hoping someone on here will be able to point me in the right direction! Thanks

Sorry for not understanding at first. I have a Tissot that had a unique strap that fit right up against the case. The strap got really old and I wanted to replace with the same strap model. What I did was I went to a Tissot retailer that only sold watches (Ben Bridge). They had an in-house repair person and he ordered the right strap for me using the serial numbers on the back of my watch. If you can read the serial numbers on the back you may be able to use the Tissot website to find the strap but for an old strap a retailer may help you best.

Thanks sounds like a plan. Fingers crossed i’ll find somehwere. The Tissot online search tool returns nothing for that model so expect 30 years is too far in the past for them to help. Thanks again.
