I’m sorry to hear about the promotion. I’ve been there before myself and at the time it was super crushing and I was upset. I ended up searching for other opportunities with another company who is willing to pay me 40 K more a year and I ended up building a relationship with them, much stronger than my last job. I don’t share this personal information to impress you, but sometimes life has something better waiting for you at the end of a letdown. I hope this is the case for you as well.
