I like the touches of gold and the extra heft that comes from the steel core. I didn't intend to buy this particular one until I happened upon it at my AD

That's really lucky. It sold out same day of release on the G-Shock website. Loads of them were bought by scalpers and got listed on ebay for silly money.

I'm now a massive fan of the 5000 steel cased models.
