Surprised by the result

I ordered a new crystal for my Junghans but wanted to give polishing a try. I didn’t think a 15 minute hand polish would make such a difference!

It’s amazing what you can do with water, the right sandpaper, a cotton ball and some polywatch - well worth the money and piece of mind that you can fix any minor scuff you might create through your daily wear.

Is that a mineral crystal?

That’s without sandpaper! But i will have to try that next time for a even better finish 😄

No, just a plastic crystal 😊

Just curious, did you use Polywatch on the case ?

It’s amazing what just the polywatch can do. Sandpaper can definitely help with the deeper cuts. Don’t bother going to a local hardware store - they won’t have a fine enough grain. Order a mixed pack on Amazon that has the 300, 400, 600, 800. It’s a lot of fun to play around with to see what kind of magic you can make.

Did you work your way up to the finest grain or stick to just one type of sandpaper?

Oh it works much better if you start course and go finer over a few stages. And don’t forget the dab of water.

Nice work!!
