What's in a relume??

So I have been meaning to service my own Enicar Jet Graph Valjoux 724 for over a year and I finally got around to it.

Now one thing that really let this watch down was the really old crumbling (and missing in places) Tritium lume. It had to be removed and redone.

Here comes the dilemma as it is a vintage watch you want the lume to of course look as close to the original as you can. I have messed around for a while now with different paints etc to try and get a good old mix that is worthy of the dial.

Below is the before and after pics. I used the high grade Swiss Super Luminova mixed with some Email Color Orange number 30.

Experimenting with different amounts to just get the shade right. I am really happy with the natural creamy results if gives to the dial and hands and of course you get that pack a punch glow.

What do you guys think?

Stay fresh, HB

Muy buen trabajo, también esta el hacerlo más opaco de 🔆 dándole tintura de infusión de te o café que lo bueno que tiene que es de a poquito lo vas dando patina hasta el agrado
