I wear the watch I want to daily and throw a beater in my backpack. For a couple weeks in Europe last year I wore my JLC Polaris and threw a Yema Superman in my backpack.
I have Erikas, B&R, and CNS MN style straps. There's no advantage to paying for the Erikas. The CNS are configured slightly different from the others, it takes me 5 mins to cut and sew them.
I usually wear them on my everyday watches. I think they cost $3 on sale.
Comfortable and they will retain the watch on your wrist, like a NATO or single pass strap.
We took the train from the airport in to downtown and were able to find a ton of watch shops, I was able to try a lot of models I'd only seen in pictures online. We ate at a rooftop restaurant that had a great view, too.
