Having a speedy ("timer," not "master") Tuesday.
Not that I don't love my mechanical watches for all sorts of romantic reasons, but every time I pull this one out I'm reminded why people were so excited to adopt quartz in the first place (and just how much solar quartz improves on the technology) and the degree of mental gymnastics we do as enthusiasts to convince ourselves that bigger, less accurate, less reliable, less robust, and more expensive movements are preferable.
