Found the battery it takes, Lr1130s. The watch tracks the hour and the minute. This was definitely made as a fashion piece, and I think they succeeded, because I feel like a James Bond villain wearing it.

Edit: I noticed the time had changed, it does not track the month and year like I had thought.
