Swiss-Made Bargain!
I’ve been hunting for a French watch for a bit, but ultimately went with a ‘French-ish’ watch in the form of this Le Jour Coral Diver (LJ-CD-003).
The grey dial variant I went with reminds me of the Seiko Prospex SPB143, but with a much more beautiful dial and significantly cheaper. Speaking of price… I ordered this from Long Island Watch for almost half of the $800 MSRP. I couldn’t believe the price, but Marc’s reputation made it a no-brainer.
So far, it feels much more high-end than what the MSRP would suggest. It is beautifully made and the packaging is also exceptional.

Ooooof I have been eyeing a Newport Chronograph for a few months as well… their designs are really really nice. Will most likely be the next purchase 😅😅

Agreed with the Marc’s reputation, and also very curious about this brand (will keep an eye one them on the island watch site).
As for French, just got the Hermétique from Baltic, and highly recommend!

All I can say so far is my expectations were exceeded by a long shot.
And tbh the quality and finishing IMO could put this near the $1,000 mark rather than the $800 MSRP. But Long Island Watch is selling them for nearly half that. I took a gamble with a brand I new very little about, but had seen at Windup Watch Fair before and heard mentioned from reviewers in a handful of instances.
The only downside: no real way to swap out the bracelet for a NATO or anything else really because it does have a bit of an integrated design. A bummer, but the bracelet is fantastic so I’m nitpicking.
Baltic is also on my list eventually 😅
