Accidentally turned my San Martin into an integrated bracelet watch

Well… I was trying this straight end link bracelet on this San Martin just to see how it looked and fit. But after it was in place, I realized the tolerances were too tight to angle the end links out from between the lugs. And this type of spring bar doesn’t have any grooves for a spring bar tool to grab on the non-quick release side. 😮

Is there any way to get this off without breaking the spring bars??

A sharp spring bar tool can grab the non quick release end. Kind of like a knife catching the edge of a fingernail. There is a YouTube video on it. I think the Norwegian watch maker?

Thanks. I just had a look on YouTube and found a dental floss trick. I’ll try it out and see how that goes.

Okay, the floss trick didn’t work, but after a lot of fiddling around I finally found an angle that allowed it to just barely clear the lugs.
