Just joined the community and want to say hi to everyone here! Meet my Sinn 103 A Sa Hd from 2006. With the discontinued manual winding Valjoux 7760 and the reverse panda dial, it’s one of my favorite watches in the collection.
Amazing.. A Sinn is on my wishlist for this year..🙄
I have owned several Sinns and never have been disappointed. There are a couple of things to look out for, though. For one, the chronographs tend to be rather thick. The regular 103 St Sa is 17mm high, which was too much for me to really love it. Also, there are sometimes some issues with alignment, be it bezel or dial alignment. Other than that, they're great watches to own.
This being handwound and not automatic like the regular 103s, it is thinner at 15mm with the original display back. I actually had that switched at Sinn for a solid case back, which makes it a bit thinner, but more importantly more comfortable to wear due to the shape of the case back.
Welcome! Great watch! The Sinn is a great quality German engineering watch! Very nice display. Does it have a blue or a black colour? What about a black leather trap?

It’s a black dial, the blue shimmer comes from the outside AR coating, which I have largely removed since the photo was taken.
I kind of like the tan, weathered strap. Makes the watch look very vintagey. Black may be a bit too classical for me, but I’ll try it out!

Hello @fritz15 that's a lovely looking piece and it's aged very well. I look forward to seeing what else is in the collection.

Thanks for the kind words, James! I'll be sure to post some more soon!

I love the hands and the lugs. the only bad point for me are the size and the dial (I don't know why).
Absolute piece of art!
welcome, and what a seriously cool watch!

Size is relative 😀
The dial could be a bit more ornate, but it’s a tool watch after all.
