What if? A Cartier Diver Watch: The Plongeur de Cartier
Hi everyone, thought I'd share my latest render, "What if Cartier made a diver in 2023?" A few years back they made the Calibre de Cartier Diver but the looks were marmite (to say the least). What do you think of this one?

"The looks were marmite". Is that a UK-ism? Never heard it before. I'm guessing it's not a compliment.
To me the weirdest thing about the Cartier diver was the seconds subdial. I know there are a few Oris divers with that feature, but it just looks peculiar to my eye.
If they had replaced that with a center seconds I think the watch would have looked much better. I don't even mind the enlarged date window.

Yes 😂 it means "love it or hate it". I happen to like both Marmite and have a bit of a soft spot for the OG Calibre Diver, although you are very right that it could do without the subdial.
