The true love of my life

I bought this watch about 3 months ago and I wanted to wait a little bit before talking about her.

TGV, on the urban gentry channel, said :

"when you feel like you could sell all of your other watches and keep only that one, this is true love".

That's precisely what I feel for this watch. It's the one watch that made me stop lusting for the next watch. It's been 3 months that I have no "next watch".

Last october, I was looking for a good "starter" watch for my uncle, who was considering getting into the hobby, when I found her (or should I say, she found me).

I had long been looking for THE perfect GADA watch for years. This one has all the critirias :

  • It can be dressed up or down
  • Strap monster (every configuration feels right)
  • 39mm in diameter
  • It has loom (not on the blue dial variant which is slightly different)
  • It has a screw down crown (300m of water resistance)
  • A date window (better for a daily driver)
  • Automatic AND manual winding
  • Second hacking
  • Swiss movement
  • Very accurate (average of -1s a day over 1 month)
  • A very good price for the quality (and 5 years of warranty)

The only downside is probably the 19mm lug width which makes it harder (but not impossible) to find straps that fit.

During the 28 days of february I've decided to wear this watch and only this watch every single day and to bring it on every possible situation : formal, casual, hiking, swiming, travelling...

PS : Yes I posted this exact same post on another plateform but wanted to restart de conversation here.

Just sold mine and I instantly regretted it. Great watch!

Such a beautiful classy watch.

I have often wondered if the 'exit watch' really exists. Maybe for you it does. Wear her in good health 🙏

Well it's only been 3 and a half month since I fell in love and it happened at the same time as I started to think of how I should try and feel more content with what I have.

I'm pretty sure I might buy another watch later in time, but it's certainly a "pause" watch which stopped (for the moment) the constant lust for more.

Never sold any watch, I'm too afraid I might regret it.
